PathReason (the "Service") is operated by Vayden Academic Press — a sole proprietorship registered in India (Udyam Registration No. UDYAM-MH-19-0432116), proprietor Vishal Tayade — of 1702, The Don October CHS, Parmanand Wadi, Parel, Mumbai 400012, Maharashtra, India ("PathReason", "we", "us", "our"). By creating an account, purchasing access, or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Refund Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
PathReason is an educational tool for pathology reasoning practice and exam preparation. It presents anonymized, retrospective, and illustrative teaching cases and gives explainable feedback on diagnostic reasoning.
PathReason is not a medical device, is not a diagnostic tool, and is not for clinical use or patient care. It must never be used to diagnose, treat, or make decisions about any real patient. No doctor–patient or other professional relationship is created by using it. Its confidence indications are a transparent weight of evidence, not calibrated clinical probabilities, and nothing in the Service is medical advice.
The Service is intended for adults (18 years or older) — pathology trainees, clinicians, students, and educators using it for learning. By using it you confirm you are at least 18 and can form a legally binding contract with us.
When using the Service you agree not to:
The Service, its software, design, and all case, question, and curriculum content are owned by PathReason or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. Subject to these Terms and your payment, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Service and its content for your own education. All rights not expressly granted are reserved. If you send us feedback or suggestions, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free right to use them to improve the Service.
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis for educational purposes only and must not be relied upon for clinical decisions. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the content is free of errors or that the Service will be uninterrupted. Nothing in these Terms affects any statutory rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PathReason will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from clinical or professional use of the Service (which is prohibited). Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited — for example, liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
We may update, change, or discontinue features of the Service, and we may revise these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify account holders by email or in the app. Your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Changes will not retroactively reduce access that a Founding Access purchaser has already paid for.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Mumbai, Maharashtra will have jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your country of residence.
